Beer is a fresh produce and should be treated accordingly to get the right benefit from the product.Storing beer
Beer should be stored dark and in a cold basement environment. Dark because the beer must not be exposed to light which is the beer’s worst "enemy". "Cold Cellar" (about 6 degrees) is perfect, just like fresh food in a grocery store.
Pouring the beer
Beer should "thrown" inside the glass while upright. That way it builds up a foam that keeps the freshness. Let the foam subside a little and pour in again to have a 2-3 cm thick foam, which is a little "cauliflower-like" in structure. When pouring like this, there’s much more flavour than when you hold the glass tilted.
Tempering the beer
Just like wine, beer must temperate. You can use the following easy rule:
Pilsner: 8 degrees
Dark, medium strong: 10-12 degrees
Dark strong: 15 degrees
It sounds strange, but this way you get more aroma and taste the substances better than if the beer is cold.
Glasses
Beer glasses should be washed by hand in warm water with dishwashing brush specially meant for glasses. Use a little dishwashing liquid and rinse sufficiently. Glasses should not be washed together with other items. It is important that beer glasses remain beer glasses, not used for milk products. If so, the glasses will get a thin layer on the inside that prevents the beer getting the right foam and the beer will be regarded as flat.
